THANK YOU SARAH WATSON! for being my head.

It was on a tuesday sometime last week that I invited my Friend Sarah Watson and her brother over to participate in filming for the head in a jar TV scene. I filmed sarah first to act as the head, I then went through the process of using the rotobrush to seperate her head from her body and the background. This was in after effects. It took a while and despite the result not being perfect I am happy with how creepy she acted the part. I then overlayed with venetian blinds and a wave warp along with some noise to get an old TV effect.

The black vomit was done with hand drawn animation and adobe illustrator to place the assets in and switch the opacity to create the sequence of images. I went over each asset with the image trace tool and coloured it in as well as exporting with a transparent background. Once in after effects I tried my best to use the same tools on the film of sarah to make them seem that they were in the same element. As for the rising black liquid, that was also done in after effects. I made a rectangle in which I applied a liquify warp tool in which I smudge the top surface layer to create the look of a water waves. All that is needed now is to get this rendered scene onto the circle in some sort of Mask...thing. I will have to see how it goes.
