In more earlier versions I was looking for something more exaggerated and strange, akin to the likes of Tim Burton and his use of German Expressionism. But it was later I decided to steer away from that in favour of more semi realistic proportions. The rabbits face is a bit more accurate to a real rabbit in the later concept. Which I think utilises the more uncanny, disturbing implications of the story in which I want to convey.

Below this text are two experiments in colour, I wanted the animation to take place in early fall and I thought the colour should reflect that dark autumn atmosphere. It's also rather appropriate seeing as harvest day follows the last day of summer and it likely justifies the events that take place in the story.
The picture on the bottom left evokes gothic horror iconography, a young girl and supernatural being in a dark house, lit by candlelight.
