So to properly start off in my stop motion animation angle. I figured I would start off with an animation of the protagonists silhouette which will be transparent in the edit on after effects. The stop motion was done using my rostrum camera stand, and cut out assets to form a puppet. Same technique used on my previous dot to dot project.
I have then put it into editing in after effects. The idea is that it appears behind the africa mask as a transparent gateway between us and the baboon's face coming up soon. I am having mild trouble though. I apply the colour threshold layer tool to change the colour of the animations background, I then apply the colour key to exclude black. However the animation itself has turned out only short enough for a few seconds, and unfortunately I am terrible at deciding or telling the time for each scene. I do want the animation to just about reach above 1 minute.
Plus the movement of the animation makes it a tough situation to scale it up into the next composition.
