Songs I'm interested in+lyrics.

I am likely going to be doing a popular piece of music, as poetry without music is not enough to engage me. So I have picked a few songs I like that I can see potential in.

MACK THE KNIFE BY BOBBY DARRIN

An upbeat tune set to the gruesome killings of a serial killer/hitman, a fun song but only uses rumours as some form of narrative with very little ideas on how to interpret it with its slang.

WHITE RABBIT BY JEFFERSON AIRPLANE

A trippy alice in wonderland inspired song with references to drug use and physcadelic concepts. Unfortunately though I think it has overused to death in animation, I swear the Simpsons have used it more than once. I want to interpret something with a clearer narrative but allows for visual expression.

IN DREAMS BY ROY ORBISON

A sad yet romantic ballad of a man who dreams of the love of his life. This I feel has the most creative potential and strikes inspirational images into my head, and I can already see a way of working several techniques and experiments into it. But like with the other songs it is too long.

Perhaps if I cut a section out to shorten it I can make it work.
