Google Image research/Experimentation/Sketches

These are some images I have lazily ripped off from google images for inspiration. The first image I looked at of a baboon's face has bewitched me, and I wanted to experiment with it on photoshop. I basically used the threshold tool and masked the eyes to help them stand out from the dark shadow of the brow. I'm obviously not going to steal it for the sequence, but there is definitely something there that could be done either by drawing or cutout.
Over images can give me an idea of the landscape of Tanzania in which the book takes place. The leopard and baboons can be used for reference when recreating them for the animation storyboard.
I also recalled the Madhouse title sequence and how bold its colours were with its lines so I might want to embody an African inspired look/colour scheme in the final animations. I will be using the african flags as colour palletes for this.
Hopefully I can work with a limited colour scheme.
