I started up immediately on the Maxon Cinema 4D program. The scene I will be working on first would be the corridor to the bedroom. The lyrics in this scene are tiptoes to my room every night.
I created two plains, one for the floor and one turned at 90 degrees for the wall. For the doorframe I created a cube and scaled it to a door like shape. I also needed another cube with the Boole tool to cut through both the wall and the doorframe. I had difficulty with the parenting at first though because of how the Boole tool was positioned in the parenting section. Sometimes the wall itself was erased or both the wall and the doorframe was erased.

But I eventually got that sorted out with some helpful advice from Jon Mclennan and some experimentation.
I also wanted to apply some hand drawn textures to the wall, give it a stylised wallpaper look. The issue that did come up was that the exported scan turned digital image came out blurry, however this was also solved with Jon Mclennan’s advice. I just needed to enlarge the image in the program I coloured it in. So I have done that, and while it’s not perfect. I feel its valid enough for the animatic.
