The Rabbit's Bride- Source of inspiration

The year is 2020 and I have officially graduated from my university. Looking back on my work I have shown a strong interest in adapting classical fairytales and literature. This was the result of my three year exploration into animation and illustration as is my overall appreciation of the genre. The themes and speculation around these classic European tales is what has kept me intrigued for years.

My biggest gripe when I went into my final project (The Child who Strayed) was that the narrative and animation wasn’t as thematically strong as I would have liked. Especially with the depiction of horror and the monsters that haunt our childhood.

So for this Masters degree I have settled on adapting a simpler much shorter fairytale which will give me more unique creative liberties.
