Story Changes?

I have realised from watching these shows and clips for research that having a completely chaotic ending isn't going to logically fit in with the tone of the film. If an actual kids show ended with the world glitching and falling apart to no happy ending, it would not seem realistic. The key thing I notice in all of the episodes of don't hug me I'm scared is that the characters resume what they were doing, leaving the audience somewhat isolated to the strange events that occurred.

So perhaps the film ends with the children going home despite all odds of the 3rd child getting eaten or destroyed by the wolf? I'll think about it as I go into the storyboard.
