The idea of a shapeshifting witch stealing in the form of a rabbit/hare really informs on my idea of the rabbits change halfway through the narrative, as a passive creature to a malevolent trickster. It also makes me speculate on the idea of how the characters are gendered. Should the rabbit be male? Or would making them female add a new perspective? What if the genders were swapped? Theres a lot of avenues to be taken with the idea of a rabbit witch. I will have to think more on this later. Another aspect of the hare being a form the devil takes would really add to the gothic horror narrative I am trying to push.
